    Pros +

    • I like the location and breakfast.
    • Excellent location! Near the station and shopping strip. Good onsen.
    • We stay at Dormy regularly. In general, they're consistent in terms of staff helpfulness and friendliness. They can speak good enough English to address your needs if you are English-speaking. The facilities and amenities like the shared bath, massage chairs and actual massage areas, the great Japanese food buffet, the free half ramen at night, and the complimentary treats like Yakult, popsicles, and ice creams, coffee and tea, etc. make this place super comfy. This particular location is in one of the most convenient-for-tourists places in town: Tanukikouji, which is itself a tourist area, but also borders Susukino and Odori park. The actual room itself is basic, but it's a nice room and it's comfy, relatively speaking given the norms of floor space in Japan.

    Cons -

    • The onsen is small. I didn't wear the onsen clothes. Too big and ugly.
    • I really don't have anything to complain about to be honest. Stay here!
    • The bed and pillow too hard. The layout of the bathroom, sink, shower was difficult to maneuver Needed more trash cans in room.

The location is unbeatable. The Tanukikoji shopping street is right downstairs with shops and restaurants. Breakfast and hot bath are also very good and not crowded at all. The room size is not very spacious, but big enough for a family of three (compared to most Japanese hotels), and it's super clean. Highly recommend for short stays in Sapporo.

Access to public bath, location of the hotel

Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Rooms were expensive and very small.

    9ChainapaPosted on: 7-18-2025

Clean and comfortable. Quiet. Great location. Large room to open 3 large suitcases. (Deluxe twin).

Staff at check in didn’t explain anything at all. But other staff in the morning were very helpful and kind.

Fantastic location in downtown Sapporo near shops, restaurants, and transport options. The room was clean and the onsen was a nice way to end the day

    9RobertPosted on: 2-17-2025

The onsen and breakfast were amazing.

The smoke from the smoking room was ventilated into our room so our room smelt badly of smoke.

    9JuaniPosted on: 2-17-2025

The location is so near many eateries and dessert places. The entrance is in the roofed walkway. About 10mins walk to Odori park

    Rooms are small

Very nice hotel, onsen, breakfast, and staff .

    9Mia K.Posted on: 2-15-2025

Location on the arcade. Free laundry, just need to pay dryer

The ice cream is finished pretty fast. Onsen is too hot for kids.

    9YokoPosted on: 2-12-2025

The Onsen was very nice and the breakfast selection was wonderfully

The pajama size was too big and the bath towels aren’t at the onsen area.

    10CinthiaPosted on: 2-9-2025

All the staff was really kind and helpful, can't thank them enough for being so nice as to make an effort to understand my basic and many times wrong Japanese. There's a lot of complimentary services / amenities that were tasty (free fermented milk in the mornings, free ice pops from the afternoon till after midnight and free lamen at night, free coffee in the afternoon and one small water bottle per guest every day they clean your room!) and helpful (free pocket heating packs and free washing (only drying is paid)). Although the double bed was a bit small, the covers were soft and warm, just lovely. The pillow was strangely hard but felt comfortable when I slept on it. The AC worked great and it was also really good the windows opened easily and widely enough so I could renew the air.The location is VERY convenient. It's a few minutes walk to a stop of the limousine bus from Shin Chitose. If you're coming for Yukimatsuri, it's close to Susukino and Odori venues for the ice and snow sculptures. It's also close to the Susukino subway station and Pole Town and Aurora Town underground facilities. The main entrance is on Tanukikoji street, which is a bustling and brightly lit street arcade. There's a Family Mart and a Seicomart on the same block if you don't want to get breakfast at the hotel. There's a Surugaya and a Mandarake 2 blocks aways. If you want to go back to CTS by bus, and the stops are reduced because of Yukimatsuri, it's easy to get to Sapporo Grand Hotel stop by the underground way to avoid the slippery streets on the surface.I really recommend the Dormy Inn Sapporo ANNEX and look forward to staying here again!

I felt like the women's public bath was always crowded (I went at around 07:00, 20:00, 23:00, 00:30, 01:00 during Yuki matsuri, so it was the high season to be fair), so I think it was a bit small for the number of guests. Since the public bath was so hard to enjoy with so many people, I really wish each room had its own even if small bath, and not only a shower.I can only say I dislike the carpeted floor (which all other hotels in Japan I've stayed in so far seen to have, and sure, I understand the reason for it in a cold place where guests are not SUPPOSED to wear their outside shoes, however it just feels somewhat antihygienic for me) and that's all to it: they give you slippers and seem to clean it very well (can't see stains nor it smells weird, just felt some debris here and there when walking with my bare feet, and my allergies to dust weren't triggered).

    8CodyPosted on: 2-9-2025

The baths in both the annex and the main hotel were excellent. The location was perfect. It was right between the Sapporo Snow Fest at Odori Park and the night life in Susukino, about two blocks in either direction. It worked perfectly to be able to go back to the hotel halfway through the day and warm up with a bath before going back out.

The room was small and basic, but that’s normal with most hotel rooms in Japan. I didn’t spend much time in there anyway, and the baths and location made it so worth the stay.

    6PeterPosted on: 2-9-2025

    Staff were lovely

The room was very small, also the bed was very small and not well presented with just 2 flat pillows so it certainly didn’t look inviting nor was it very comfortable. While the location was good the overall experience was not great and it didn’t represent value for money. The queue up for breakfast was also very unexpected and not something we had experienced in Japan before.

    7AlexeyPosted on: 1-14-2025

The hotel deserves high marks for its unique and varied breakfast with fresh seafood, its location, and its compact yet diverse onsen facilities.

If you are allergic to dust, then the hotel room definitely won't be comfortable for you; the men's onsen ceiling is covered with black mold (at least on January 25). The room size is very small, and there is always a queue for breakfast.

    8LeannePosted on: 1-8-2025

Free ramen. Great onsen. Good coffee in the lobby. Fantastic location

    Lift was a bit slow.

    8RiekoPosted on: 1-8-2025

Bus stop close by for the airport. Breakfast is very satisfying. Yonaki-Ramen is great. Clean facilities. Helpful staff.

Walls were thin. I could hear that someone was talking on the phone. But was acceptable.
